Test Fast Track 2026

Fast Track Sailing Courses are intensive week long sessions designed to teach you the skills required for a Dinghy Junior rating. As in other sports, intensive instruction will improve your skills rapidly. You'll be on the water with one other student from 5-8pm Monday through Friday evenings. When you come off the water, youll have a debrief with your instructor over a big community dinner, sharing food and drinks.

Again this year, we are adding a special women only Fast Track week July 28 - August 1. If learning from women instructors in a women-centric environment is of particular interest, make sure to sign up for that session.

Four steps to join Fast Track

While signing up is usually the first step, students are accepted based on prerequisite completion date not signup date, so get your prerequisites done as soon as possible. There are only 16 students per week so the first 16 to complete the prerequisites will be accepted.

1. Signup. See links below
2. Pass your Junior written exam
3. Pass the rigging test
4. Get comfortable on the water with a few lessons. Practice tacks and gybes, either from lessons, sailing with a friend, or from prior experience counts too. Typically taking 3 or 4 lessons provides this.
